Driver side front window

I have a 1992 88' Royale Olds
So my window is weak and sometimes gets stuck down. Motor right? To fix the motor would all I need to do is replace it, would this involve anything other then a new motor? I'm very novice would I be able to replace the motor?
Also in a general amount how much would it cost to get my air conditioner fixed, assuming it has the usual old car problem with it (it doesnt get cold, in a car this old would that mean it has a leak or what) if possible please give estimate for just empty on fluid and if it also had a crack.

The power window; If it goes down okay, could be just the window switch. The motor doesn't care which way it goes. Could be a damaged regulator. Does the window go down smoothly and evenly? If it does, it's more than likely the switch.
No idea on the A/C; You'll need to find the problem, first. Being a '92, it may still be R12 system. If so, can get VERY expensive and may be cheaper to have converted to R134 when the time comes for repairs.

Yes it goes down well, and when the window goes down to far (all the way or close) it usual gets stuck and i have to push "up-down up-down" till it comes up a bit more (every time I push up it will attempt to move it just doesn't get very far until it is high up, about 2 or 3 inches above the bottom is where I usual roll it down to.)

Roll the window down a few inches so you can get to the very top of the glass and clean it thouroughly. Then, get some silicone spray and lubricate the 'felt like' channels that the glass rides in. Might help, can't hurt. Being a '92, the regulator may need some lubrication, as well. The white grease is good for that. You can buy it in spray cans, now.

On the door, itself, the channels are what 'guides' the window fore and aft. The are just a bit wider than the glass. I'll see if I can find a pic.
