I THINK ITS A FUEL PUMP Sign In

1993 Ford Taurus
3.0 Liter
108,000 Miles

my car died when i was driving it.
didnt want to start up
after about two mins it started up when gas was held down.
Fuel Pump maybe?

if you suspect a fuel pump, which it very well may be, put a fuel pressure test gauge on the fuel rail and see what it reads when you crank the engine over. Its not cheap for a pump nor is it especially easy to change so no sense in throwing parts at it. Check the fuel pressure and post back with the findings.

Don't rule out a plugged fuel filter...

Although I agree the fuel filter should be replaced, it is never the sole cause of a "no start". If it's restricted, it will lead to damage to the fuel pump but by the time the car is not starting, the pump damage is done and merely changing the filter will not resolve it.
