1994 Toyota Corolla 1.8 167978 Have had the head checked out and was cut .10 First question....Do we need thicker washers on the head blots? Second question....(On the back cam on passenger side is a half moon shaped alumium plug with a outer lip that sets flush to the top) Is it supost to be glued in ? and if so with what type of glue? Third thing....the head bolts were not marked to which hole they came out of......what should we do about that? Thanks for your response, Rhinorex33

Just reading the questions you are asking tells me you really should be having a professional do this. What do the washers on the head bolts have to do with anything? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

the fact that the head has been cut .10 and I was not sure if the bolts would now be too long. As far as the pro doing this job would have like to been able to but did not have the funds so I am trying to do the best I can to see it through. Thank you for your reply Rhinorex33

I seriously doubt that they took a hundred thousands off that head. The head bolts can't be re-used anyway. They have to be replaced. These are the kind of mistakes that will cause you to have a lot worse problem than you are starting with.

It's just a valve cover seal. Only needs a little silicone at the ends where it butts up against something else.
