Speedometer Problem Sign In

I have an '04 Silverado which recently had the speedometer go whacky. When its parked it reads 40mph and pegs out when I reach 60mph. What is reasonable to pay to have this fixed?

Re: Speedometer Problem Sign In

Who knows??
It could be anything from a bad connection; ignition wires routed improperly inducing voltage into the system, right to a bad instrument panel. Sorry but there is no one word answer for this.

Sounds like a bad speed sensor.

Re: Speedometer Problem Sign In

they are having driver problems in side the cluster you should check your speed sensor for a/c voltage but most likely its a cluster problem
