Parked car today for 5 minutes, nipped into daughters house, came out, son had been playing stereo. Key in, click, click. No turnover of engine. Lights work fine etc. Is it the battery thats gone ? Its only 3 years old ? Any help gratefully received. Thanks

Common sense? Have the battery charged and tested. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thanks for that Hammer Time. I realised it was probably the battery but with it being less than 3 years old, I thought I might be missing something. Anyway, a new battery resulted in instant start so problem solved. Thanks again for taking the time to answer.

You probably wasted your money. A simple recharge probably would have done the trick.
