WINDOWS AND DOORS Sign In

I have a 1995 Buick Centry with electric windows and doors. The control buttons on the drivers door work and don't work The front window button does not work. The back window button does work. The door lock button does not work. The passanger door controls do and don't work. The window button does not work. The door lock button does work. The back doors window buttons do not work. Where do I start to look?

Re: WINDOWS AND DOORS Sign In

Patrick; The master switch on the driver's door is the place to start. It is the weak spot on GMs. The switch comes out quite easily...Check for a poor connection. Wouldn't be surprised it it's the switch, itself. With it being intermittent, could easily be poor connections, though. Once you've accessed the switch, you can check with a test light to see it the switch is commanding the different functions.

Re: WINDOWS AND DOORS Sign In

To add: Check the switch with test light as Loren suggests. If you are finding it proper and power doesn't make it to a device on another door from there, there may be a break in wire(s) in the wiring snorkle where it bends in door jam. All the wires bend each time door is opened and closed and take a hit over time.

If that's suspect hit back for ways to fix that,

T
