car wont start

Re; 2004 Nisson Altima 4cylinder 100,000 mi.Short runs to the store, no problem but after driving for @ 25-30 miles and turning the car off it won't start again unless it sits for 30 min. or so.The starter works the flywheel turns the engine cranks over but it just won't fire up. While it cools off to start again I'm the one getting hot. Anybody have an answer for the car? I know I can cool off with a cold beer.
