I have a 1990 chevy two wheel drive 2500 pickup with ABS brakes. Left brake would hang up and get hot. I replaced the caliber and still does the same. These are disk brakes and the right side works fine.

If you replaced the caliper and it still locks up, the rubber brake hose may be the problem. They will break loose inside and create a small check valve where fluid will go one way and not return too release the pressure.

Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

In addition to way2olds' advise, don't overlook the right caliper, also. Many times I've found that the opposite side may not be working properly, causing the other one to do all the 'work', causing it to overheat. Calipers should always be replaced in pairs on disc brakes.

i agree with way2old due to the age of the vehicle. the hoses are cheap and easy to replace. did you bleed the new caliper???
