gasoline odor when fans operate Sign In

Info:2002,dodge,stratus,4 cylinder, 70,000 miles

Over the last month there appeared a significant gasoline odor in the car when I have the fans operating. There is no odor when the fans are off or when internal ciculauion is selected. What should I look for?

How about looking for a fuel leak? You may need to put it on a lift and look for it with the engine running because it will evaporate almost immediately.

Pay attention to leaking fuel lines, leaking fuel rail, and leaking injectors under the hood. Also remember something about the fuel sender pipes cracking on those at the gas tank.
