i have a 1997 chevy blazer 4x4 with auto trans and the 4.3 eng. the problem i am having is the truck will go into 4 w drive with no problem when i pess the button but when i push the button to go back into 2 w drive it does not want to shift back over. i swaped out the transfer case control module but no luck. when i do press the button i can hear the transfer case shift motor operate 3 times then stops. i have to keep trying to hit the button for 2 w drive and after awhile it will go back to 2w drive. could the vacuum actuator be bad any help woul be great. thanks

have you checked the transfer case gear oil???

no i have not i dont see any leaks though i will check the level would that cause my problem i didnt even think about that. thank you

This may sound stupid, but are all the tires the same size? We had one that has two 215's and two 225's and it did all kinds of wierd things.
Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

im just throwing this out there, but i think there just might be a sensor on the transfer case that reports back the position of the transfer case.
im sure someone will chip in on this
