Hi, I have a 2001 Z-71 ext cab with about 105000 miles on it. I live in Michigan, so the heater and ac get ALOT of work. My problem is this: I have lost control of the heater fan control for blower intensity, (it stays on full no matter what setting). But my more major issue is with the fan NOT shutting off. The fan continues to run with the engine off, keys out, the whole shabang. The only way I have been able to get the fan motor to stop running is to disconnect the negative battery cable. I pulled the HVAC/AC fuse, and the heater fuse from the panel, but the motor still kept running. I'm kind of thinking a relay may be bad, but I am not a big fan of changing parts on a whim... fix it right the first time! Thanks for all the help.

Look in parts at www.autozone.com or your owner's manual. Either may say where it is and if it has one. What the heck is a Z-71? Isn't that a chev truck option package? Alone that doesn't tell me much about the vehicle, T
