I have a 1995 Sable that goes from 1st gear to neutral. From a stop the car shifts hard stays in first and then goes into neutral cant manually shift it either.

Is this a complete transmission overhaul?

If fluid is properly full and does this that isn't a good sign for the trans. If this isn't some strange linkage problem from the shifter it probably does need an overhaul but verify that with a transmission shop,

Yes, the transmission needs to come apart and inspected.

Thanks for the reply. That is what I figured. I don't think I am going to fix it.
