Doing an oil change and noticed a plug thing lying in the motor bay and an open tranny port where it looked like it goes . It fit for sure but then I'm wondering how to check the level . Did the dip stick fall off the bottom of the plug ?

Might help if you posted pictures of the plug and the port. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

All I can say is that it looked like some earlier 2007 honda tranny dip stick without the reader stick and went into the hole like an [earlier] honda would have for it

They're taking it to a shop , the owner wasn't about to remove the splash shield to access the plug in the back of the tranny to check the level or do the oil change and neither did I , Thanks again
