Socket size Sign In

Hi anyone and everyone. This is probably dumb to ask but I just don’t know.

What size oil pan drain bolt is the Honda HRV 2024? Is it 17mm?

Also, do they make a 17mm socket for a 1/4 drive? I can’t find one.

Thank you.

I don't know what size drain plug that car uses but I can assure you there is no 1/4" drive 17mm socket.

That would be pretty stupid because a 17mm bolt would break the 1/4" ratchet almost immediately applying the pressure it would require to loosen that bolt, assuming the ratchet handle didn't dig a hole into you hand.

That makes sense since I can’t find one. I think I may need a 3/8 drive torque wrench for the drain bolt. With the 17mm socket. Thank you
