Custom Chopper Tour Hits the Road

(ARA) – For people who love custom choppers, perhaps the only thing better than riding one is the chance to win one. And one lucky person will get the chance to win the Case Custom Chopper between now and the end of the year.
The W. R. Case & Sons Cutlery Custom Chopper Tour convoy, featuring the Case Custom Chopper, designed and crafted by Orange County Choppers, is rolling across America, with stops at more than 60 events in 17 states. The chopper is a testament to craftsmanship and the trusted American-made ideals of these two companies.

The Case Custom Chopper is a Rigid Spoke Rev-Tec model with a 130 horsepower V-twin engine. The Chopper features a custom, two-tone silver paint design with knife blade accents. A red Case logo appears on the gas tank and fenders, while the front fender includes a rendering of Case family patriarch, Job Case. The oil tank and air cleaner covers display Case XX and tang stamp markings, while the custom mirror brackets replicate opened Case knives.

Many of the tour stops will be held at Case retail locations. During each stop, consumers can have their photo taken with the chopper, register to win the bike, and purchase Case Chopper-branded pocket knives, apparel, and fashion accessories available only at these events. The official tour knives are a series of Smooth Bone Trappers, available in green, natural, orange, Mediterranean blue and black handles.

As the Case Custom Chopper roars into Case retail locations and select regional events throughout the summer, the distinctive growl emanating from the chrome tailpipes will be attracting a wider range of consumers. “The Case Chopper generates the level of enthusiasm that we want associated with our brand,” says Ed Jessup, vice president of sales and marketing. Case and OCC have built their partnership on a shared business philosophy: to manufacture high-quality, U.S.-made products with a blend of traditional handcrafting techniques and modern manufacturing technology.

Consumers who are unable to attend the exciting Chopper Tour Stop events can enter for a chance to win the Case Custom Chopper though the Company’s Web site or by mail. Entries must be received between June 1st and December 31, 2005. No purchase required for entry. The winner of the Case Custom Chopper will be announced in January 2006. Visit the Company’s Web site, www.wrcase.com, for more information on the Chopper, tour stops, and OCC knife offerings, or call W. R. Case at (800) 523-6350.

W. R. Case has produced pocketknives for Orange County Choppers under an exclusive licensing agreement since 2004. New 2005 OCC knives include the Natural Bone Trapper with OCC jigging and the Old Red Bone Stockman with an exclusive OCC shield. Both knives are packaged in unique OCC gift tins.
