Most are right at or close to thermostat and you can check it but rarely bad, wiring and plug more common. OE most used black and yellow wires. Replacement came with both black wire pigtail connector to splice in shown here. That one is to tell engine computer how much fuel to deliver and should flood out engine if disconnected and throw a code. Again - they rarely fail but the wires and plug left off or broken.
