I am having problems keeping it to idle. It will start and idle rough (surging) for about two minutes than it will stall. I would like to replace this carb but here rumours that it cannot be replaced because of the turbo, is this true? What should I be checking for if I need to repair this carb? It was removed earlier and cleaned a little as it had some bad (varnish) gas in it.Crazy Any help would be appreciated. One more thing all the lines were replaced and the gas tank and new sending unit were also replaced and fuel pump. And yes this is a new engine as well.

Thanks

Rochester Quadra Jet
Carburetor #17080274

__________

This carb should be rebuildable. Check for that # on the side and get the kit for it for a total clean up and adjustment. Float is sold separately if it's soaked (weighs too much) as well as primary and secondary pull-offs,
