Tire shred on itself on highway, went to take wheel off and got 3 lug nuts off fine, the last one is a locking lug nut so I used the special key for it, wouldn't turn eventually the nut broke more than half off leaving just a small part on the post. Now it is basically impossible to get a socket on, when I do with hammer it just slips even after many hits. As you can see in the pics it ain't a pretty sight. So, now what do I do if sockets won't work? Thanks.

Hmmm... I'f you don't have these tools, you might want to tow it to your mech. I'd take a dremel and wizz the end of the stud off, so it is flush with the broken lug. Then drill through the center of the stud. Keep enlarging drill bits, so the the hole gets big enough to drill the threads off the inside of the broken lug. Once you get it off you can install a new lug and stud. Wouldn't wack on it with a hammer anymore Make sure that your torque your lug nuts to factory specs. Most of the time they are over torqued and stretch the stud's threads causing the nuts to cross. When that happens you end up with what you have. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
