As soon as the temp gauge starts climbing, it won't ever drop back down. I replaced a faulty water pump about 6 mos ago, and just replaced the thermostat today. Both radiator hoses are hot to the touch, but all the steam is coming from the engine side vs the radiator side. Once the engine cools I need to check to see if there's any seepage from the water pump, but I'm out of ideas after that. From engine startup to max temperature takes less than 5 minutes. Any help or ideas would be great, and thanks in advance. --Matt

Well, as opposed to the boiling coolant coming out the radiator valve, it all seems to be coming out from the engine side of things. It's definitely coolant by the smell, and my fear is that I've blown a seal/warped something that is letting coolant out/air in.

You're not making a whole lot of sense. You need to start out by having the cooling system pressure tested to find any leaks. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
