If they're both on the same switch assembly on the steering column that could make both systems act up. Do you have a headlight switch on the dash or is it mounted on the turn signal arm?

I'm doubting this is a switch issue. One is always on power and one is keyed. I would suspect a Body Control Module but this isn't something that you will be able to diagnose yourself. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Both the wiper motor and headlamps share the same ground which is actually a splice pack right underneath the battery tray. Probably wouldn't hurt to check that splice pack ground because maybe battery acid leaked all over it or it may have a bad connection due to corrosion. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
