I have a 98 Pontiac Sunfire.

About a month ago, my wheels came out of allignment and were squealing while driving. I also had bad struts, so I replaced those. and then brought it in to get the allignment.

Everything was Good until this morning, My wheels were fine and aligned when I was driving home from work last night. I started the car up this mornign, and as soon as I got onto the highway I could hear them squealing. I also noticed I had to have the steering wheel slightly left to be going straight. So I get out and look, and you can see clearly the 2 front tires are each facing outward at the front.

The tie rods both look / feel fine. The struts are also good, they're brand new. What could've caused this to go out of alignment so soon after being aligned ( 1 month)

Thanks!

OK, so why haven't you brought it back to the alignment shop?

It appears something was either done wrong or left loose.

It just happened this morning. The soonest appointment they have for me is next Tuesday. I was coming here to get a second opinion, from people who know more than I do.

If something was done wrong / left loose, I don't see how it would have lasted for a little over a month still aligned, then overnight go out of alignment. I figured maybe something broke causing it to go out of alignment again, but I'm really not sure. Which Is why I was asking.

Thanks!

I don't have a clue what happened to you car but i can tell you that you need to park it immediately and don't even attempt to drive it until it's looked at. I already told you what i thought. If you think you know better, then you don't need my opinion for anything.
TOW IT TO THE SHOP UNTIL THEY CAN FIX IT.

I think you're taking what I'm saying the wrong way. I don't know better than you, that's why i'm here, asking for help.

My car IS parked. And it will be until my appointment In a week. The entire reason I came here, is to see if I could gather any knowledge of why the tires would go back out of alignment ( certain parts that could break, Things or places to look at) In which I could be inspecting In the meantime ( I have a week to wait for my appointment)

Whether or not something broke, or the alignment was just done wrong. I have no idea. I've received excellent help from this forum before, So I figured I'd try again while I'm waiting. If i could figure out why it went bad again BEFORE my appointment, I could possibly fix it myself, and save the money. Which is why I came here to try :D

Again, thanks for all the help. It's very much appreciated.

I have already told you he likely left something loose, probably the strut adjusting bolts. I can't tell you what happened to you car without seeing it just as no one else can.

All this has already been explained to you here.

Ok? I realize that. The point of this site ( as tho I thought) was to give people advice / help based on the info we are able to provide.

I realize a conclusion can't always be drawn from purely text information. Although I don't see why it would hurt to try.

Basically, what I was hoping to get from this post. Was someone who knows about front ends saying something such as ( Look at this area, or that area. Check for play here / there. etc) and maybe I'd possibly be able to follow this advice and locate a problem myself, without bringing it in. Because I have no idea what to even look for as of now, other than tie rods.

Thanks again.

Apparently you just don't listen. I have told you twice what i think is wrong with your car. There won't be a third time.
