99 Grand Prix..ton of miles. I just noticed squeaking coming from my back passenger side wheel..seems to be really noticeable at slow speeds and doesn't seem to be noticeable at higher speeds...for example I took it around the block..definitely noticed it with windows down, but I accelerated on a highway and was doing 40 and couldn't hear anything (unless it was too high pitched for me to notice) Any idea what it could be?

Does it squeak going over bumps? Is the squeak constant? If you hit the brakes does the squeak go away? Noises are very hard to diagnose over the internet. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Try rotating tires and use any trim parts with that wheel too. Rare but I've seen tires make strange noises or perhaps a crack in rim - if noise moves with that wheel then it's a tire wheel thing, T

Thanks for your responses. It was a crazy day yesterday so I did not have a chance to take it anywhere. I am going to go get it checked out tomorrow. I am thinking it may be a brake issue? The reason is the squeaking is rotational, but it doesn't squeak when the brakes are applied. There has been a lot of road construction...think any link?

In that braking make it quit then brakes should all be inspected as rotors and or drums spin as fast as the wheel. If drum rear brakes and wild dirt and dust, some will fill up and need to be cleaned out. Disc brakes sling off debris if the case, T
