I have a loud 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis. I eliminated the Catalytic converter on passenger side, but the connection is very loose where the front meets the manifold.

Do I cut 2 bolts, and replace gasket, and 2 new bolts
for repair . Do I need to remove tire, and is it easy to get at?

Eliminating converters is illegal.

What you do to resolve your issue is you drive it to an exhaust specialty shop that is equipped to have the repair and has the replacement parts and you hand him your credit card.

Fireworks are illegal too, but the whole neighbor hood is setting them off.
I am getting rid of the car in September. I already eliminated the cc, and I know its illegal. I am asking a question about removing, and replacing bolts, not whats illegal.
Reply with the answer like you have in the past. Don't be laying down the law like your Steven Seagal.
