Mad I have a 1998 Grand Cherokee that has died on me. I have no spark. I changed the fuel pump and ignition coil. Did fuel pump before realizing no spark.
I was going to buy this list of possible problem parts, but I am not wealthy. I bought a scanner instead.
It is not throwing any codes at all...I even unplugged a spark plug and the distributor, still no codes.
I am returning scanner. Anyone out there feel
merciful? I need help really bad....cranks, no start.

Check for fuel injector pulse with a noid light (which is a cheap tool) and see what you get. No injector pulse and no spark at the same time points to a crank position sensor. They were known to go out on these. Don't just throw parts at it. You'll only drain your bank account. The cheapest fix is the confirmed diagnosis.

Is your scanner even communicating with the PCM?
