I have a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire that has no reverse lights. I have checked the following
- Changed fuse
- Changed bulbs
- Checked for power to bulbs, no power
I am not sure if this info matters but its a 2005, Standard with no power windows/locks. I am at a loss as I am not sure where the issue could be and I really don't know much about wiring so I do not want to re-wire the car and Car-X is quoting me over $500 just to diagnose the problem and provide a solution, not the actual fix. Thanks, dmcdaniel12

I would attach wiring dia if I knew HOW.. easy first- fuse is a 10 amp- inst pnl fuse labeled turn and BU ... dont eyeball fuse probe it.. ck the wiring at at bulb harness ltgrn wire 12v and dbl ck blk ground... Next not as easy would be cking wiring at pk nuetral switch. wow did I misread - an automatic or MANUAL? manual- the BU switch on trans below shift cover- a picture is worth 1000 words

It is a manual transmission. I will have to see if I can get pictures of it when I get home. At work right now. Sounds like this is going to be a pain in the arse to do. I was hoping it was going to be a simple fix. Thanks, dmcdaniel12

The wire colors at the switch are Light green and pink. The pink should have power with the key on. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thanks. Once I get home, I will give this a test and see if it has power. If it does not, where do I go from there? Thanks, Derek

you will likely have 12v at the switch, pink wire, be sure connector is installed tight onto switch, contacts are corossion free, - I suspect the switch ie not closing - and not energizing the ltgrn wire to bulbs- EASY test -unplug harness should be 12v pink wire KOEOff- then you could try jumping* the connector harness - BU should illuminate - yes, no? * simple paperclip- mind fuse
