I have an 05 Tiburon GT Automatic, 47,000 miles on it. The other day when I punched it, the RPMs climbed but the Tranny wouldn't shift unless I let off the gas a little. When I drive normal it shifts perfect. The first time it did this I got a check engine light temperally. It came back on again when the RPMs rev and the tranny doesn't shift in time. I turn the car off and the light is out. Anything? Anyone?

You should start off with having the codes pulled. That may shed a little light on the problem....

No codes at all. Going to change the fluid next. Possible shift valve sticking???

It has codes, you just don't have the proper equipment for retrieving factory specific codes for the transmission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
