trying to get this pick up to start so i can put it back on the road...152k miles, running when i parked it +/- 6 years ago...checked fluids and using starter fluid it will fire and use up starter fluid and quit...fuel pump sounds as if it is coming on...suggestion on where to start troubleshooting? realize i'll be changing belts, hoses, plugs and wires...just wondering what to check/replace to get it to run...thanks for any help!

If it's been sitting for 6 years, then you need to drop the tank and remove the fuel pump and inspect the inside of the tank. You will probably need a new fuel pump too.

The fuel lines may be clogged and gelled up. They should be fairly easy to replace on that vehicle. And as Hammer Time said, check the fuel tank.
