I just bought a 94 honda civic ex D16 engine, i bought it with a bad tranny and put a new one in then the timing belt slipped and i replaced that it had overheated the engine real bad and the plugs are melted i am pulling these out and replacing them now, the car will start but not fire up, i will replace the plugs but im afraid then that the head or head gasket is cracked? please help me! it is getting gas and the battery is good

Looks like you bought someone's problem. The first thing you want to do since it overheated and jumped time is to do a compression check. Make sure the battery is fully charged, the distributor electrical connector is unplugged, and the throttle is wide open when you check your compression. Write down your numbers and let us know what you get.
