Was driving down a highway, doing an average of 70 the whole way, bout and hour, to and hour and a half max. Pulled over to chage the DVD in my daughters portable player. Noticed a strange odor, turns out was burning oil. That and white smoke comming from the engine compartment. Not thick, but alarming all the same. Engine wasnt over heat, car hood was a normal temperature. What are the chances it can be easily repaired?

First you have to determine what the problem is before you can have any idea what it's going to take to fix it. Check your oil level and check your coolant level. If the coolant is low, then fill it and presuure test the system to determine where it went. If it's real low on oil, find out where that went. Once you resolve these issues, see how the car runs then.

The collant level is fine, and the car was not overheating. But all the oil leaked onto the ground, i sat and watched the oil level get lower and lower on the dipstick until there was nothing left at all. It is leaking somwhere from the bottom of the engine. Any ideas?

I'm not there to look at it, you are. Your going to have to inspect it to determine where the oil is leaking from. If it's leaking without the engine running, then about the only thing it can be is a hole in the oil pan, probably from hitting something.

Don't assume the coolant is fine because it didn't overheat either. make sure your checking that.
