2002 Jeep Liberty Power Window Finiky Sign In

Ok looking for a little help.
My wife told me today that her window will not go up. And after interogating (sp) her I found that it had happened before and she would slam the door then it would go up... This time it didn't work. But as I toor the door apart I noticed that as it happened if I would unplug and plug the motor back in it would work again. All of the viewable wiring seems to be tight and free of corrosion. I guess my question is is the window motor just crapping out or could it be something else. When it does not work the motor makes no sound. and that I noticed sounds a little labored before the stop happens. Also it does not just stop in movement... push switch works release then not work.... checked the switch all seems well there to as far as connections go

You'll need to check power to the motor at the time it is inoperative. The symptoms could be the motor or the switch.

The motor is getting a "dead" spot. When you slam the car door its like hitting that old car
starter with a hammer. Former Jeep dealer employee, Replaced a million of them
