2005 Honda Pilot - Rumbling Noise Sign In

I have a 2005 Honda Pilot. There is about 115k miles. Tires are about a year old...plenty of tread, well inflated, and balanced. The vehicle does not pull either left/right. Every now and then as I drive down a road (speed doesn't matter) I hear and feel a rumbling noise for about 20-30 yards. I think, and I may be wrong, that it is coming from the rear. The noise will stop, and sometimes I will not feel it for weeks.

This is so sporadic that I really can't provide any additional information.

Does the condition of the road make any difference when this noise happens?

The condition of the road does not matter. The rumbling occurs when the road is smooth and straight.
