2008 Altima brake warning light stays on Sign In

Nissan Altima 2.5 SL
19,500 Miles

I replaced the brakes with ProStop Ceramics. The light remains on. The Brake fluid is topped off, and I just checked the brake lights and both seem to be working.

I don't know if you ran the master cylinder low at any point but if you did, that a screwdriver and rap the master cylinder reservoir with the handle a few times. Sometimes the float will still at the bottom but the rapping should free it up.

Also make sure the parking brake is completely released.

It is either parking brake related or a possible ABS related problem.
