92 Roadmaster Cruise Control died Sign In

Can anyone provide a little coaching on how to proceed with a diagnosis to a shade tree guy? I don't have a reader. Been wrenchin' on the farm, but electronics are beyond me. I took this thing to our local car fix guy he said he doesn't have a computer device for this old girl. I'm curious to know if it's absolutely necessary to have a diagnostic tool. We used to fix things with our brains. I'm not above scouring our local junk yards and replacing parts, but I could drag home something defective and never know it. Any help appreciated. Rich

Just for kicks and grins....check the high level stop lamp operation...( the one in the back window)..
Because if the bulb burns out ,it will stop the cruise from working on this model...

Just a thought..
Let us know
