If it doesn't have a paper gasket, then it uses a rubber O-ring but it definitely has something to seal it. If you damaged the bolt now, you will likely have to tow it to a shop. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Haven't you done enough damage already? NO, you can't hammer on it.

You might be able to use a socket that is a little bit smaller than the head of the bolt. Then hammer the socket onto the head of the bolt and try to loosen it. Put some penetrating oil on there too. Don't beat on it too hard or you'll be buying an intake manifold. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
