yes we have a 94Del Sol S, believe its the 1.6L motor, with a automatic tranny, no mods that i can see in and out of the car. When driving the car, ive noticed that the 4speed auto seems to shift fine, no grinding, jumping, banging, shifts very smooth, But as we accelerate, and hit 30mph and higher a loud drumming or semi exhaust noise starts rising with vehicle speed, its not the engine, ive watched and monitored engine noise while driving at these times, and its clearly coming from under us or from behind us! i looked at the breaks, and rotors, and the brakes are 50% roughly, and rotors are used but not trash. LOL i even checked the muffler and exhaust to make sure i couldn't see something just inside that could restrict and escalate the noise... any help or leads would be welcomed. Im just starting to get where i can actually financially support and get involved with a project like this.

Used brake parts! Yikes - I hope they came turned and were measured to be within legal specs. Exhaust: Muffler and other parts can look fine on the outside and be junk unseen. You can tap on the parts and might hear loose rust inside. Heat shields are common to come apart but that's usually a rattle sound first till they fall off if so, T

With what you describe; you might be hearing a wheel bearing beginning to fail? Dan. Canadian "EH"

One other suggestion I'll add to the list, is to rotate your tires. See if that has an effect on the noise.... No effect & you can eliminate tires & wheels as the problem
