My daughter set off the alarm system of my 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee. When you turn the key in the door lock it will shut off the security but when the key is in the center position or removed there is a clicking sound in the relays just under the glove compartment. I lost the power to the door locks, the dome lights, the console clock and the compass, mileage counter etc.(found just infront of the dome lights.) I still have power to the windows however. I thought it might be a blown IOD fuse but it appears to be alright. When I pull the IOD though the clicking stops. Im not sure where to go with this. I just got it out of the shop from putting in a new radiator and there is not much money to put it back in cause my husband passed away a couple months ago. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry I won’t be of much help with this; I just don’t work on all that many Chrysler security systems, Maybe someone else here will have some input for you? Hey do we even have any Mopar people; if we do NOW’s the time to speak up! Lets try and help this person! Dan. Canadian "EH"

some of those systems are wired through a relay so one may be sticking. try pulling them one by one and see if it stops. you can also try removing the battery cables for about 10 mins. then reconnecting them to see if that helps. i really dont have much experience with this problem so im just shooting off ideas you can do with out spending money.

I went out to unhook the battery and the battery had been drained. I put a new relay and placed new fuses and I still get the clicking. I have left the IOD fuse out because I want to see if it is causing the drain. It also stops the clicking of the relay. I guess that I need to trace the wires from the relay to the IOD? I dont know.

Our 95 grand was doing the same thing. It ended up being a fuse that was burned out. I don't remember which one but try every one that has anything to do with the security system.

I have encountered such problems as this in different vehicles, the main cause in 9 out of 10 was the security module being deffective. Just thought the little bit info might help
