My A/C pressure switch on my truck is bad. In repairing this switch with a new one, will the Freon have to be drained? I didn't know if something like repairing this switch would deal with a pressure issue or not. If so, i guess the only way to have it repaired is in a shop? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. It has been working great, with no problems. Just yesterday, it stopped working. The clutch on the compressor will not start at all. I was told it is probabaly the pressure switch (probabaly the one on the compressor itself). Is this a common problem where it might actually be something aside from the switch? The only switch they have a lot of problems with it the low pressure switch on the accumulator. You can just unplug it and jump the wires together at the plug to test if the switch was the problem.
