Liberty won't start up

Hi folks, I'd appreciate any help you can give. I have a 06 Liberty 3.7L with 30K miles that won't start. It's been starting and running just fine lately. Lights and interior come on strong, but when I turn the ignition, I get a real fast clicking sound, but no turnover. I checked all the fuses and cables, and saw nothing wrong. Is this starter? Thanks, Earl

Sounds like you have a dead battery or dirty connections Earl... Have you tried to jump it?

Go ahead & try to jump it......If it starts you may want to get the system checked.... a little early for the batt to be bad but not unheard of. Also may have just left something on but if there is a draw in the system, you do want to get that handled or you'll be having a dead battery again....
