An orange light has appeared on my Toyota Corona 1989 2.0L dashboard. Any ideas what it means?

I'm not sure where you are located but they have sold or made a Corona in the US since '82 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Clearly I'm not in the US then, but I thought this may be a generic warning light which may occur on many models

I don't have the manual and I've checked a few books at the library but found nothing about dashboard warning lights.

Excellent that makes sense and explains why the car has been sluggish when setting off. Found the button and turned it off. My 2 year old son must have pressed it, I never knew it was even there. Many thanks, you've saved me lots of frustration. Cheers
