Pull the EGR valve and make sure there isn't a chunk of carbon stuck in the seat.......

NO CARBON STICKING THE VALVE OPEN , VALVE IS WHITE AND WHEN YOU PUSH THE VALVE DOWN YOU CAN SEE THE SEATING RING ON THE VALVE. SOME CARBON BUT VERY LITTLE TO HAVE 190,000 MILES ON THE CAR.

Well that makes it a little tougher... GM's are usually pretty good about setting misfires but they can also run like cr*p with out setting codes...

I would almost have to see it and see the way it runs to have an idea of where I would start on this...

About the only other suggestion I could offer would be to disconnect the MAF sensor and see how it runs. I've had a lot of these fail without coding and make the engine run like sh&t.

2002 PONTIAC GP 3.1 190,000 RAN EVEN WORSE WITH MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR UNPLUGED. IDLES FINE, RUNS AT SAME SPEED FINE, ACCELLERATION BAD AT ANY SPEED. C , E , OH , EV AND YELLOW LIGHT FLASH ON CHEAP SCANNER.
