Replaced battery now problems

I have a 2005 Ford Mustang, V6 with 74,385 miles. The battery recently died and I replaced with a new battery. Since then, the speedometer and gas gauge sometimes work and sometimes they don't. The right blinker blinks faster than the left blinker. I went through the steps from the owners manual for when replacing the battery. The gas gauge and speedometer would work but the right blinker was still fast. The next morning, the gas gauge and speedometer would not work. They would work at times during the day. I have tried again and again going through the steps of installing a new battery from the owners manual but no success. This is my daughters car and I am afraid of her driving without knowing her speed or how much gas she has in her car or worse that somehting in the computer system could shut down the car. I need some advice please. Thanks

Was this thing jumped off at one time? What exactly did you do to determine the battery was bad? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

we went on vacation and when we came back the car would not start. i tried charging the battery but it would not hold a charge so i took the battery to a local auto parts store and they determined the battery had a bad cell. so i bought a new battery. i have owned the car for 3 months and it has not been jumped off since i have owned it.

You might have to take it to a shop that can use a scan tool to interface the instrument cluster computer. They can look at the information that comes into the cluster to see if it is missing vehicle speed and fuel level information. As for the turn signal, the instrument cluster computer communicates with the smart junction block. The smart junction block is what turns on and off the turn signals and acts like a body control module of sorts. Problem could be the cluster itself. Been reading they been having issues with them, but can't be sure without proper diagnosis. Gone are the days of the DIY being able to troubleshoot these newer complex CAN bus systems. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
