Speedometer at half speed? Sign In

136k 2002 Ford Windstar v6 3.8L. Recently the speedometer stopped registering the proper speed, I drove on the highway and relative to how hard I pushed the gas it went between 0-40. Its not limited to the speedometer, the odometer registered only 49 of 100 miles from todays driving. The CEL is not on and I plugged in a scan tool to confirm that no codes are stored. Where do I start from? thanks

The speedometer is a dial, the odometer is digital.
