I recently bought an 03 sedona, but when the thermostat guage reaches 3 quarters and over - the engine loses power for seconds at a time. If i continue driving and the guage reads higher temp the problem gets worse. So when im commuting locally, theres no problem and it drives perfect. But if driving on the motorway -long distance journeys- its always going to cut out?

Can anyone present a list of possibilities or a solution?

PLAESE HELP!!!!!!!!

The 1st problem you need to address it the temp problem. 3/4 & higher is too high to be driving the vehicle. You need to determine if this is an actual overheat problem or an electrical problem with the gauge.

There is a couple of different ways to go at it. One would be compare what the comp reading is to the gauge reading. Another would be to measure the temp with a temp gun & compare it to the gauge reading. If it is actually overheating this needs to be fix 1st and right away.

You may also want to pull codes to see if there is any to give you a little direction.

Is the check engine light on?

Also try to make just one post for the same problem, multiple posts gets confusing. I'll delete your other one.......
