clunking in drive train

chevy astro 2003 & 2004 160000 & 190000 miles both of them are doing it. there is no problem whatsoever when they are cold. after driving about 20 miles i get a clunking noise somewhere in drive train until i get up tp 45 mph then it smouths out. runs fine above 45 mph

Noises are frequently guesses at best unless witnessed. Will this clunk do that just holding the brakes and putting it in gear or does it have to be moving and more like a rotary noise with speed?
Weak guess for now is a motor or trans mount for now on both if both yours and used the same way could be a common link or misleading you that the problem is identical,

i first suspected it was an engine miss ,when i give it gas it over powers it and gets up to speed and the its ok

this is part of the same problem..after it is hot if i make a sharp turn at a crawl on an upgrade it sounds like thr rear axles are falling apart

Can this duplicate a noise sitting still, brakes on hard with nobody in harms way just fighting engine against brakes but don't go nuts as I mean just the load without all the drivetrain parts moving?
If only while under load and moving while warmed up you may need to observe that which is near impossible so would be checking for mounts that can allow too much motion or lash in joints, gears, bearings that should have none.
Is this a single clunk or multiple clunks based on vehicle speed and increasing with speed. Need to narrow down the search for what is happening where,

Do you have limited slip differentials?
