Clemmon; Have the battery fully charged, then test the charging system. According to my database, this vehicle still uses an external voltage regulator (which surprises me). Loren SW Washington

Like Loren said, test the system while everything is hooked up in the truck..... Put a voltmeter on the battery while running. The voltage should be between 13.5 & 14.5 or somewhere close.... Note the battery voltage before starting......If there is no change after starting the engine, it's not charging.... All this is after the battery is tested & fully charged.......... Why would you be shocked the regulator isn't in the PCM Loren???? That was such a great idea I was sorry to see it go....

Sidom; What the h*** were they thinking by putting the regulator in the PCM? Lee Iacocca must be turning over in his grave. He is dead, right? Loren SW Washington
