driver door Sign In

hello.
I have a 95 pontiac sunfire, when i open the driver door, it seems to drop a little, so it makes it hard to close, like you have to slam it hard to close it tight, the passenger door is fine. So my question is, if anyone knows how i would go about fixing the door to make it good again
thanks all

Re: driver door Sign In

It has become misaligned and your problem will get bigger unless fixed. If not fixed, at some point, you won't be able to lock the door at all.

Make sure all bolts at the hinges are tight and there is no play in the hinge once tightened..

That "drops a little" remark is a clue it's coming loose.

Open door and have someone raise it up and down while you look to see which hinge is really loose. Replacement is the best option. Body shops can adjust the door to buy you some more time.
