Hello,
Ford Focus ZX3, 4 cyl 2.0L dual cam, 85m miles.
Engine light is on, 4th time, also fuel cap light. Hesitation, this time I have surges when stopped at light with air on, hesitation stops when air is turned off or when I place it in park.
Most recent replaced cyl 2 (1) fuel injector, (1) fuel rail presure sensor. Before that Alternator, again plugs, & again ignition coil. Before that coil pk, hoses, pcv, thermostat, connector & housing, valve cover gasket, ignition coil, 3 motor mounts & all fluids flush. Before that plugs & wires. Before that main computer. Somebody please tell me whats nxt with out duplicating.Unsure
Yours Truly

Re: engine light Sign In

Ok, what year is this? You said your engine light is on, what are the exact code numbers coming up? They are the first thing to start with to diagnose this. Most parts stores will scan them for free. Give us that info and we can start narrowing down the issue instead of throwing more expensive parts into it. The only people benefitting from that are the parts stores.

Re: engine light Sign In

I've had this problem & have diagnosed the codes have indicated the past repairs, so I don't hold a lot of faith in that. With all the repairs done what would be the next, 02 sensor upper or lower, the EGR valve or the speed sensor oh and the MAF sensor?
thanks

Re: engine light Sign In

Codes don't indicate what to repair. They merely identify a situation and the tech determines what caused it.
