Hello. I have a 06 Colorado, 2.8 nline 4. Where the exhaust manifold meets with the pipe that goes into the cat has separated. There are flanges on both pieces where they would join, but i was able to look at a Colorado same year as mine and there is no clamp or bolts holding it together. There has to b some kind of clamp that i can put on to make the repair. Something that wouldn't require removing or cutting. I did a little research and discovered a split flange clamp. Could someone that knows the ropes please pass some advice along to me. I would genuinely appreciate it. Thanks Bill.

Can't be sure exactly what is missing or broken on yours. If studs, springs bolts thru a flange collar are not all there, there are some "split" flange creations for the collar if rusted off and gone. Studs if missing or sheared off may not be thru bolted so would have to be drilled out.

Exhaust specialty shops deal with this all the time AND are likely to have things ready to go for this. If this is three bolts and holes creative aftermarket repair parts will be difficult,

I don't know what you're looking at but these components bolt together.

If right at those THREE near bell housing those show replacement studs threaded at both ends and an "O" ring gasket in there. Not sure about that search as it showed six studs as if a "V" engine? If snapped off AND really threaded they need drilling out OR if just a "rivet" type towards front (no hex anything) those would air hammer out. This is all guesswork on my part without seeing exactly what was used there.

They do break off from trauma not just rust in some cases. Again, this should be somewhat routine but with tools to deal with it. Not very DIY friendly if all sheared off flush?
