Re: fuelpump for chrysler Sign In

There’s a few ways to test the pump; the technicians way, with equipment and a step by step test procedure. Then there’s the hackers way with a 2 foot length of 2X4; using it to beat on the tank when it doesn’t start the next time.
Which one would you feel confident in being able to perform? LOL
Sorry but I don’t know what your abilities are or the accessibility you have too test equipment? Almost anyone can get their hands on a 2X4 and if hitting the tank starts the car; then you likely have a bad pump?
All kidding aside; if you want to test this thing out properly; get yourself a fuel pressure gauge, a test light, and a good multi meter and we’ll try walking you through the test procedure.
But the 2X4 has allowed me to get cars started; when I couldn’t hear a fuel pump’s hum, when I’ve been out on service calls for no starts.

Awwwright Dan , I knew there was a little bit of redneck in you. My weapon of choice is the rubber mallet. It's easier to swing under a car. Tongue
