Sounds like you have a major vacuum leak. Look it over and see if you left a hose off somewhere. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thats the only conclusion I can come to..My plan is to spray a little carb cleaner around my lines until I find a leak. Im just pretty sure I didnt come near damaging any lines, but the before and after difference is night and day. I jus hope thats the explanation. Thanks!

So if there isnt a hose loose anywhere, could either of the sensors coming off the thermostat be involved?

Is this Carbureted or fuel injected? If fuel injected, is the check engine light on? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Its carb'd, and the the check engine light did start comin on right after I rolled over 101k miles, which has intermentently flashed off and on with less and less frequency in the last 1k miles, but it just started up and ran fine this morning! I swear I hardly touched the lines at all and they were all fine, but whatever the case, its running smooth now. Maybe it was the ungodly cold I was working in last night.. Now all i need to do is get my vents to blow..my heat was out, but i manually pried my diverter valve? back and open so now I have heat but only through the defrost vents..I believe thats vacuum operated as well, right? Im looking for the diagrams now. Thanks!

The throttle could have been sticking on something.
